The Truly Special El Cipres from Costa Rica

Terbodore coffee

Terbodore coffee

Our SELECT range showcases some of the world’s top single origin beans. This limited edition El Cipres bean is no different. This particular coffee comes from Tarrazú in the central part of Costa Rica and it features a cupping score of 84-85.

The farm where this coffee is grown belongs to Jesus Mora Camacho and Adelina Camacho Portugues. It has belonged to the Camacho Portugues family since 1939.

When the family moved into the region, they were one of the first to establish themselves in Llano Bonito de Leon Cortes, and the family dedicated their lives to the agricultural practices of coffee. The legacy of their family has continued to be carried through the generations and their goal now is to perpetuate the practices of high-end specialty coffee.

The main harvest for this bean is from December to February.

Unlike most of our blends, flavoured coffees and capsules, our SELECT range is exclusively available from us: online store; Big Dog Cafe in Franschhoek and KZN Midlands roastery. The premium range permanently consists of the Uganda Sipi Falls Organic and the Colombia Excelso CO2 Decaf with a third limited edition single origin coffee added to the range and sold while stock lasts.

Our first three limited edition SELECT coffees were the Kenya Kainamui AA, Ethiopia Kana Yirgacheffe and Zambia Mount Nsunzu, which all sold out quickly.
